  • Provide leadership to the business development team
  • Drive revenue and profit generation, ensuring market share and profit objectives are met.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities with existing and new customers/markets.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing/sales plans to increase market share and profitability.
  • Analyse contracts to assess revenue potential and determine fair market value for services.
  • Oversee commercial and business opportunities, including capital investment projects.
  • Identify and target new markets and customers, planning for risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage complaint resolution and drive customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Champion continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely commercial intelligence and market insights.
  • Deliver revenue, financial, and investment forecasting and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards for all proposals and contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • In-depth understanding of financial concepts.
  • Commercial and business development experience in the chemical, petroleum, petrochemical sector, or associated industries.
  • Current knowledge of local market and regulatory conditions in the chemical, petroleum and/or petrochemical sector.
  • Experience working with international customers in a B2B environment.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills; ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multitask.
  • Business development and project management experience.
  • Experience in both public and private sectors is preferred.
