Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the business development team
- Drive revenue and profit generation, ensuring market share and profit objectives are met.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities with existing and new customers/markets.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing/sales plans to increase market share and profitability.
- Analyse contracts to assess revenue potential and determine fair market value for services.
- Oversee commercial and business opportunities, including capital investment projects.
- Identify and target new markets and customers, planning for risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage complaint resolution and drive customer satisfaction surveys.
- Champion continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely commercial intelligence and market insights.
- Deliver revenue, financial, and investment forecasting and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards for all proposals and contracts.
- Bachelor's degree
- In-depth understanding of financial concepts.
- Commercial and business development experience in the chemical, petroleum, petrochemical sector, or associated industries.
- Current knowledge of local market and regulatory conditions in the chemical, petroleum and/or petrochemical sector.
- Experience working with international customers in a B2B environment.
- Strong influence and negotiation skills; ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- Business development and project management experience.
- Experience in both public and private sectors is preferred.
