Job Description

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to elucidate the value of their data through advanced analytic and compelling visualisations.
    • Conduct workshops and presentations to foster data literacy and promote the strategic use of data.
  • Data Analysis and Predictive Modelling:
    • Develop and implement predictive models, utilising statistical methods, data mining techniques, and other analytic strategies to uncover insights from complex data sets.
    • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
  • Data Mining and Product Development:
    • Extract and analyse data from various sources to inform the development of new product offerings and enhance existing ones.
    • Leverage insights to optimise marketing strategies and improve overall business performance.
  • Model Development and Maintenance:
    • Create, maintain, and improve predictive models, including machine learning and large models to achieve targeted business outcomes and evaluate risks.
    • Ensure models are robust, up to date, and aligned with evolving business goals.
  • Risk Management and User Experience Optimisation:
    • Utilise data-driven insights to formulate risk mitigation strategies and interventions, ensuring a balance between effective risk management and an enhanced user experience.
    • Analyse user feedback and behaviour data to inform product and service enhancements.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee end-to-end project management, including requirement clarification, research design, time-line setting, and execution.
    • Ensure project deliverable meet stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
  • Industry Awareness and Continuous Learning:
    • Keep abreast of current industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to data analytic and visualisation.
    • Actively seek opportunities for professional development and apply new knowledge to enhance analytic capabilities.
The Successful Applicant

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a data analytic role.
  • Working experience in a financial, professional services firm

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on with statistical and data mining techniques.
  • Proficiency in statistical modelling, algorithms, machine learning, and predictive analytic.
  • Programming expertise in SQL and Python; familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of Large Models (LLMs) with familiarity in their application.

Data Visualisation And Communication

  • Proven experience in visualising and presenting data insights to stakeholders, translating complex data into understandable formats.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on effectively conveying complex ideas to both clients and internal teams using presentation best practices.

Additional Skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytic skills with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
