Currently House of Shipping is recruiting for Trade Assistant for one of their leading global container shipping company.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for supporting the Manager Trade Support-Documentation/Claims/Compliance on all processes and procedures related, Liaison and organizing pending claims file as support to claims management, Understand and Adhere to all compliance requirements related to documentation and regulatory pricing processes, Support Manager of Claims/Compliance in enforcing adherence of all SOPs, Processes and Compliance matters, Support liaison on all documentation process requirements.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support to the Manager all procedures and processes.
  • Support manager the Claims process roll out, adherence and compliance to process..
  • Understand and support liaison of Hazardous handling policy roll out, support and adherence
  • Understand and support liaison of Company cargo handling and documentation Policy roll out and adherence
  • Communicate Industry practices and compliance liaison and communication with agents
  • Support Manager Documentation/Claims/Compliance in Roll out and Adherence of all operational rules, practices and policies in countries
  • Support agencies on documentation requirements and BL related matters
  • Support Manager on FMC, SSE registration and filing guidelines and policy support

Internal: Service Managers | Trade Management | Operations/Network Management | HR & Admin

Education requirements

Diploma/ Bachelors degree or equivalent, Good computer skills (shipping software, MS Office - Excel)

Knowledge of Shipping and Claims procedures

Language requirements

English – Fluent (required)

Background and experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of maritime experience, preferably within container shipping with main liners or feeder operators.
  • Knowledge and understanding of shipping processes and procedures.
  • Essential to know shipping claims and compliance matters.

Competencies and skills

  • Ability to plan and execute; multi-task.
  • Capable of handling various SOPs, procedures and systems, and handle large volume of work
  • Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills when under pressure and tight work deadlines
  • Self-driven, results-oriented and Team Player.
