Responsibilities

  • Establish Project Quality System, implement and maintain in accordance to Singapore standards
  • Monitor all legal and regulatory compliance requirements and performance and identify preventive programs to mitigate any potential non-compliance.
  • Assess the implementation of Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans at sites and to ensure the project Quality plan follows specification and contract requirements
  • Visit sites periodically and conduct detailed and recorded quality, process and safety check so as to ensure the quality and safety standards are up to industry and company standards
  • Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of non-compliance
  • Liaise with Authorities, vendors, sub-contractors and external parties on project quality matters and improvement requirements
  • Conduct and organize/support QMS Internal/External audit and ensure close out all Inspection and Audit non-conformities
  • Participate in HQ quality/safety audits where required and follow up on closure of recommendations and findings
  • Attend client quality/safety management meetings
  • Coordinate Final Handover documentation activities to ensure smooth handover
  • Provide and organize training for staff regarding Quality matters from time to time, including materials, workmanship, health, safety and environmental issues
  • Oversee all civil infrastructure and building projects for defects rectifications
  • Support in introduction of new technologies and application of relevant funding

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • ISO 9001: 2015 Lead Auditor Certificate
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in implementation and management of quality systems in construction sector, experience with LTA MRT projects and mixed-development / large-scale building projects DLP/warranty period required.
  • Experience as Corporate Quality Manager will be very advantageous
  • Familiar with all aspects of quality standards and processes requirements of local Authorities
  • Strong communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings and status reports to Management level both locally and to overseas HQ
  • Analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
