We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Manager/ Deputy Chief Manager of Credit Risk Management to join our leadership team.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the organization’s credit risk strategy, ensuring robust credit risk assessments, and aligning risk management with the organization’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Adjudication & Risk Oversight

  • Lead the credit approval process, ensuring thorough assessment and effective risk management for all credit proposals.
  • Provide senior-level guidance on credit applications, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of credit governance.

2. Corporate Banking Risk Management

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Banking department to provide comprehensive risk assessments for high-value corporate clients and large credit exposures.
  • Partner with corporate bankers to ensure credit risk management aligns with business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Oversee the management of credit portfolios, optimizing risk exposure while supporting business growth.

3. Financial Analysis & Risk Evaluation

  • Lead in-depth financial analyses, including balance sheet reviews, cash flow projections, and stress testing, to assess client viability and potential risks.
  • Present detailed financial risk insights and recommendations to senior management, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Utilize advanced financial modelling to evaluate and predict risk outcomes, ensuring proactive credit risk management.

4. Industry Knowledge & Strategic Risk Insights

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of key industry sectors, economic developments, and regulatory changes that impact credit risk.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on sector-specific risks and opportunities, helping to shape credit risk policy and strategy.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team, mentoring junior staff on credit risk trends and sector-specific analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or CFA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in credit risk management, with significant exposure to corporate banking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, financial risk assessment, and portfolio management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry sectors and the ability to integrate economic trends into credit assessments.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving risk-aware business growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and credit governance in a banking environment.
