Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Test Lead to ensure the quality and performance of our software products. This role involves spearheading comprehensive testing strategies, both manual and automated, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience;
  • Proven experience of at least 5-7 years in software testing, with a strong emphasis on test management and leadership roles;
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, testing techniques, and quality assurance principles;
  • Proficiency in developing and executing detailed test scenarios and test cases;
  • Experience with bug tracking systems and managing documentation of testing results and issues;
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior testers and promote best practices;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams;
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a keen ability to identify defects and inconsistencies;
  • Perform a range of testing activities, such as integration, regression, performance, and sanity testing, to ensure that software components align with defined requirements and functional specifications.

Desired Skill-set

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA);
  • TOSCA certified

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and review of comprehensive test scenarios and test cases, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards;
  • Oversee a variety of testing types to verify that software components meet specified requirements;
  • Document test results meticulously in a bug tracking system like JIRA, prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution;
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively;
  • Audit and enforce testing milestones and standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
  • Provide ongoing support during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), delivering progress reports to stakeholders;
  • Foster daily interactions with business, technical, and project teams to ensure clear communication regarding project requirements;
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our products, features, and customer usage to inform testing strategies;
  • Be flexible in taking on additional testing responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the project.
