We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager/Assistant Senior Manager in Human Resources to join our team at NUS-ISS. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with our institution's goals and objectives. The successful candidate will combine HR Business Partner (HRBP) responsibilities with a strong focus on Learning and Development (L&D), ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for success.

Job description :

  • Manage and provide full spectrum HR advisory to line managers in identifying people and operational issues.
  • In partnership with line managers, drive a purpose-driven culture and promote a diverse, inclusive, and engaging employee experience.
  • Collaborate with line managers to understand critical requirements, projects, and future skills demand for recruitment and manpower planning.
  • Manage learning and development, and performance management processes, including coaching reporting officers and staff on effective feedback mechanisms, and champion a high-performance culture.
  • Review policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures regularly to stay abreast of HR best practices and remain efficient and relevant.
  • Initiate improvements to internal HR processes, systems, and communications towards enhancing service excellence.
  • Provide advice to employees and manage activities related to industrial relations, employee grievances, conduct, and discipline.
  • Handle day-to-day HR activities, including HR administration and operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in HR Business Partner role equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MS office Applications and HR system ie SAP, Success Factor
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Act and Labour Laws would be advantageous
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively with the team.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and discretion, while building trust and upholding confidentiality
  • Well-developed prioritization, time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
