Internship - Business Analytics (Image Segment Analysis & Search)

IFX collects large number of Failure Analysis Reports capturing images, defect description and their corresponding final conclusion. Currently, there is a Global Virtual FA Solution (iFAME) developed to search for similar defect signature based on images content and input text ranking of result by relevancy. The opportunity here is to improve the existing image based search engine (iFAME) with advanced features using GenAI-LLMs and computer vison. In your new role you will:

• Working with data scientists and domain experts to design the AI/ML workflow and deployment
• Prove concepts, prototypes and implementations, mainly pertaining to the solutions and services in Information extraction from images, computer vision & search
• Transform the prototypes into production with best practices (e.g. model development, model deployment, model management & monitoring)
• End to End operation support for AIML solution (Data Engineering & Modelling & Visualization)
• Implement and maintain best practice
  
  

Internship learning outcomes:

• Industry work experience, access to different points of view and widened
• Overview of semiconductor industry through orientation of Infineon and self exploration
• Exposure to Gen AI, CV, NLP and to actual industry applications
• Gain understanding of analytics platforms/tools and ability to write production ready analytic scripts
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you are/have:

• Strong understanding, conceptualizing and hands-on experience in Software development, Deep Learning, Computer Vision
• Experience in software development cycles and excellent programming skill with scripting languages & frameworks e.g. Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Sklearn
• Familiar with micro services eg. OpenShift and Web Application development
• Experience in RDBMS (i.e. Oracle/ SQL) & in NoSQL Databases such as CEPH/ELK are optional
