The Hotel Human Resources Director is a key leadership position responsible for shaping and driving the human resources strategy to support the hotel’s business goals and enhance its organizational culture. This role is pivotal in creating an environment that fosters employee engagement, satisfaction, and performance, directly impacting the hotel’s financial outcomes and overall success.

The HR Director will develop and implement HR policies and practices that align with the hotel’s strategic objectives, ensuring that human resources initiatives support both operational excellence and financial performance. By focusing on recruitment, training, and employee development, the HR Director will help build a skilled and motivated workforce that contributes to high levels of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the hotel's business objectives and enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring the hotel attracts and retains top talent in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and career growth.
  • Manage performance appraisal systems, providing guidance on performance management and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and handle employee-related legal and regulatory matters.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Oversee employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a timely and effective manner, promoting a harmonious work environment.
  • Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports for senior management on key HR performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and drive organizational change.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that drive business success.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience managing compliance and legal issues.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of fostering positive work environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR practices with business goals and drive organizational change.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
