- Ensure vessels meet local and international maritime requirements and industry standards by managing vetting inspections conducted by oil majors.
- Communicate with oil majors to ensure vessel acceptance and address any vetting issues.
- Perform pre-vetting inspections and collaborate with the technical team to resolve any identified issues.
- Ensure vessels adhere to Stellar policies and procedures and provide operational support to Masters and Navigational Officers.
- Drive safety programs, including near-miss reporting, incident investigations, and quality improvements.
- Analyze accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Be a member of the Stellar Emergency Response Team and respond to emergencies as required.
- Ensure timely completion of internal audits, ISPS audits, Marine Ship Inspections, and Superintendent Navigation audits.
- Implement policies, assist with training, and maintain industry relationships by attending forums and seminars.
- Coordinate provisions, fresh water, and logistics for the fleet, raise work orders for inspections, and ensure follow-up on inspection findings.
Requirements:
- COC Class 1 with tanker sailing experience
- Min 2 years of experience on a tanker vessel
- Min 1 year shore based experience in a ship management company
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Analytical, able to work independently and result-oriented
