The Head of Sales will play a critical role in driving the commercial success of a luxury 5-star hotel by leading the development and execution of a robust sales strategy. The individual will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on revenue-generating opportunities across various market segments, including corporate, leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), and VIP guests.

This position requires an experienced sales leader with an in-depth understanding of the luxury hospitality market, a strong network of high-end clients and partners, and a proven ability to close high-value deals. The Head of Sales will develop and nurture key relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, luxury tour operators, event planners, and other partners to ensure a steady flow of bookings.

Collaboration is a key part of the role, as the Head of Sales will work closely with other departments such as marketing, revenue management, and operations to align efforts and maximize revenue opportunities. This individual will also be responsible for managing the sales team, setting performance targets, and ensuring that sales initiatives align with the hotel's long-term goals and brand standards.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of translating market trends into actionable sales tactics, while fostering a customer-centric approach to service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that targets corporate clients, travel agencies, luxury tour operators, and group event planners.
  • Drive sales initiatives to maximize occupancy and revenue, focusing on room bookings, events, F&B, and additional hotel services.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and partners in the luxury travel and hospitality sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships that align with the hotel's brand and growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, and operations teams to ensure cohesive strategies that support revenue growth and brand visibility.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the luxury market.
  • Set and track sales targets, ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue goals and KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on results and relationship-building.
  • Oversee contract negotiations with clients and partners, ensuring favorable terms that meet both the hotel’s and the client’s needs.
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses on sales performance, providing insights to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing high-value corporate and leisure clients.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury travel and hospitality market, with strong existing relationships in the industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience developing and motivating a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • A degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
