Euroclear Singapore Branch is recruiting for a new position to join our Transaction Processing Division.

Transaction Processing APAC is responsible for the management of cash and settlement activities related to APAC markets, APAC currencies but also cash and securities netting with Clearstream.

Cash and Settlement department is a complex but exciting business, which requires a highly time management, prioritization, understanding of the market and attention to detail. Cash and Settlement are core businesses which are absolutely vital for Euroclear Bank.

Our department interacts with various teams across location such as Client Services, Commercial, Banking, FundSettle, Asset Servicing, Collateral Management, Network Management and Product divisions. This will give you exceptionally good opportunities to build an end-to-end knowledge of the Operations business.

Your part of the deal

As a member of the Transaction Processing team, your specific responsibilities will be to:

• Handle the processing of clients and correspondent cash instructions
• Repair and follow up of incorrect/incomplete instructions with the clients (Queries) to ensure timely execution
• Run risk control checks and able to detect and investigate on discrepancies
• Be a key controller/market expert or contact point for most APAC matters/markets
• Manage and resolve situations independently within established guidelines like escalations or more complex investigation
• Process cancellation requests from client for their cash and settlement instructions
• Provide assistance to Client Services for queries related to cash and settlement
• Process cash and securities realignment requests with Clearstream on a daily basis
• Ensure cash and settlement instructions are processed accurately and on time
• Liaise and handle queries from Asian cash correspondents and depositories
• Contribute to complex projects or initiatives with a good level of autonomy and with risk viewpoint
• Challenge procedure gaps and build actions plans to have a common way of working
• Process and implement new tools and application to improve efficiency and productivity with the use of innovative technologies
• Lead or contribute in the continuous improvement (running PSS, review process, implement new procedures)
• Coach or deliver operational trainings in most of the processes of his team
  
  

Your profile

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Possess a strong understanding of financial products associated with cash and settlement
• An effective communicator - able to communicate, both in verbal & written, amongst peers and across levels
• Coordinate effectively and timely actions between/across stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and accurate at all times
• Ability to multitask effectively in a strict deadline environment and have a good priority management skills
• Possesses a good problem solving and analytical skills
• Works well with autonomy, open minded and a quick learner
• Self-starter and self-motivated; able to work with different teams
• Have fluency in English and other language, Mandarin is a plus
