Job Description
Implement a comprehensive Operational Risk Management Framework to safeguard the Bank’s exposure to operational risk.
Job Responsibilities
Adapt Group Operational Risk related policy and procedures to local operating environment. Facilitate understanding of ORM methodology & policies, operational risk tools and enhance risk culture through training and risk awareness sessions. Manage the execution of ORM solution & tools across the Bank. Work with business / support Units to complete Bank-wide ORM deliverables within set timeline. Validate risk profiles and KRI through challenge sessions and IMDC records. Provide risk oversight by reviewing assessments from a risk perspective Review, analyse, recommend and escalate operational risk issues to the respective Management Committee. Escalate to Sector Head if Units have not taken ownership and appropriate controls to manage operational risk issues. Direct bank-wide BCM implementation and develop suitable approach to ensure the bank is able to respond effectively and efficiently to unexpected disruptions and minimise impact to business. Provide oversight on operational risk issues relating to new products, outsourcing, processes, people and systems. Enable management oversight through Operational Risk related reports.
Job Skills
Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Engineering and Risk Management At least 10 years of relevant working experience in operational risk management, business continuity management or related role. Good understanding of banking business and operations. Thrive under the challenge of a changing, multi-faceted working environment with opportunities to value-add to the bank’s operations. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required to develop engaging relationships with cross-functional units. Good presentation skills. Able to balance risk & controls without impeding business.
