Job Title: Senior Regional IT Systems Engineer
Our Client: A well-regarded intellectual property firm in the Asia-Pacific, specializing in patent, trademark, and design protection. They assist clients across numerous sectors in securing and managing their IP rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational: Oversee the infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, streamline IT processes, actively plan for preventative maintenance, manage resources, and ensure compliance is adhered to for process consistency
- Strategy and Planning: Contribute to the infrastructure strategy for future needs, develop resource plans for projects and change requests, and work on new initiatives
- Projects & Change: Serve as the technical lead, ensuring the team delivers on project requirements and drives continuous infrastructure improvements in the region, maintaining consistency in change execution
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships, managing service agreements, deliverables, and cost control for infrastructure or process-related partnerships
- People Management: Collaborate with the Head of IT Operations to set performance objectives for the team, manage performance, provide feedback, allocate resources, and support business needs
- Additional Requirements: May be needed for after-hours or weekend work on an as-needed basis, depending on business demands
- Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or higher in IT/Computer Science, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Regional & Language Skills: Experience in supporting Asia Pacific inclusive of Hong Kong and China
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Microsoft 365, cloud, and virtualization technologies
- IT Operations: Excellent skills in IT operations, Help Desk processes, and infrastructure maintenance
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, influencing abilities, and teamwork, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
