Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

  • To perform "Catch All" for any exception on un-reconciled items e.g. day-end payment completeness, Trade pending validation, outgoing free format swift (MTX99), failed trade monitoring/reporting etc. to ensure all items are accounted for and with ownership and actions. Follow-up with respective for resolution and escalate, if necessary.
  • Acts as the central governing party for GFMO i) coordinate and review risk metrics reporting for GFMO to ensure timeliness and accuracy in the monthly reporting process and escalates consecutive Key Risk Indicators (KRI) breaches to GFMO management team. ii) perform updates on risk assessment results, KRIs and risk incident records in bank wide repository system to enable timely risk reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports and executes operational risk reviews across GFMO to ensure the department's adherence to bank's standard requirements.
  • Monitors trade cancellation and reissuance events in Dealer Metrics Workflow Tool ("DMWT") and ensure all events are being reviewed and approved by respective Trading Desk Head as part of trade surveillance.
  • Provides location oversight and support to drive control/process standardization to the GFMO location operations.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for control/process improvements and collaborate with relevant process/control owners/GFMO location operations to implement strategic and sustainable solutions.
  • Partner and collaborate with diverse group of stakeholders from various functions i.e. Audit, Finance, Operations COO Risk, Risk Management Group, GFM COO and GFMO Location Operations to drive and deliver bank-wide risk management initiatives and reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification with minimum 3-5 years of relevant knowledge or work experience on Global Financial Markets Products and end-to-end Ops processes throughout a trade life cycle.
  • Familiar with Bank's Treasury systems: Murex, Front Arena, TZ, TRAX etc.
  • Relevant work experience in risk management, exposure to risk & control process and cross-department collaboration will be an advantage.
  • Exhibits critical thinking skills and problem-solving mindset;able to think out-of-the-box with a good risk and control mindset to identify & challenge status quo/control or process gaps and recommend effective solutions or remediation plans.
  • Strong team player, good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who consistently demonstrates a proactive initiative and reliability to complete tasks and achieve goals.
  • Able to multi-task; work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines and prioritize effectively
  • Good stakeholder management skills & collaborative mindset to work well with stakeholders.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office.
