Job Description
- Manage and supervise tasks allocated to the section in supporting Rail Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) commercial products, company proprietary and non-proprietary products
- Analyze and interpret circuitry diagrams, block diagrams and PCBs for any re-engineering work required
- Conduct and lead failure investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues based on findings from facts, researches, studies and make necessary recommendations
- Generate documents and engineering process plans to ensure operation requirements and safety standards are maintained
- Participate in customer meetings to gain insights to their needs and expectations. Follow-up discussion with various internal stakeholder and translating these requirements into deliverables where feasible
- Work with engineering department on product design, tester design, maintenance service and implement hardware and software components to integrate into in-service systems
- Understand the concept of Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) tools such as FMECA so to achieve improvement in MRO effectiveness, reduced manpower requirements and minimized life cycle cost
- Conduct technology search for Rail MRO applications and introduce technology enablers to improve performance and quality of the repaired systems or components
- Support on-site testing and troubleshooting during normal and after office hours
- Actively involved in WIP (Work-In-Progress) tracking, inventory stock-take, incoming and outgoing of products etc
- Responsible for the training of technicians; planning, assigning, and directing work to a group of technicians; appraising, addressing complaints and resolving conflicts
- Assist Ops Lead in daily operation
- Perform other related / ad-hoc duties as assigned by Ops Lead
- Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience
- Able to read and understand electrical & electronics drawings
- Assist in providing technology solutions to overcome complex MRO systems so to allow work focuses upon the effective integration of people, processes, tools and technology in order to improve the MRO into the next level
- Knowledge in Rail MRO will be an added advantage
- Possess Class 3 manual driving licence
- Good interpersonal & communication skills, with strong ability to work within a team
- Can work under pressure within stringent datelines, independent and self-motivated
- Able to present ideas, approach and objectives clearly
- Able to engage and manage customers' requirements
- Possess leadership skills and motivate staffs reporting to candidate
- Must be willing to work in Railway, MRO environment
