In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Group Operations enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's new products approval and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

The incumbent is part of the utility teams within GFMO with the primary role to perform GFMO's new products assessment and co-ordination tasks to support Global Financial Markets business. The below outlined the key responsibilities as well as the focus/priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing governance and provide oversight on GFMO's target operating model.
  • Collaborate with local and/or regional GFMO supporting teams to build and/or review new operating model.
  • Represent GFMO to co-ordinate, manage and review the NPAs for all BAU teams, including NPA/Test cases and signoff.
  • Participate and execute GFMO enterprise implementation such as AMH testing, SGX in accordance with GFMO's remit.
  • Ensure all discrepancies are communicated to GFMO teams / other relevant teams for timely resolution as well as appropriately escalated to the relevant managerial stakeholders for their attention.
  • Ensure timely follow up with GFMO teams / other relevant teams to close the discrepancies.
  • Continuously improve on new product approval workflow and controls through leveraging technology and automation where possible.
  • Assist in project UAT (User Acceptance Testing) testing to ensure smooth implementation of any system changes/ upgrades or new product launch.

Requirements

  • A Degree or Equivalent preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in Trade Management, Middle Office or Treasury Operation.
  • Well versed and proficient over a wide spectrum of Derivative products and structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Meticulous and familiar with basic accounting concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive required outcome.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details, ability to think out-of-the-box to identify risk gaps and propose effective solutions or remediation plans.
