THE COMPANY

Our Client is a US listed Multinational Corporation in the Services industry (Revenue Size of $500 million USD) with strong presence in APAC and headquartered in Singapore. They are now looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the Finance Manager.

THE ROLE

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and statutory requirements.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closures:
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and review journal entries.

Accounts Management:

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
  • Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations.

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT/GST, corporate tax, payroll).
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax planning.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure best practices for financial efficiency.
  • Compliance & Governance:
  • Maintain adherence to internal policies and external accounting regulations.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possesses a Degree in Accountancy/Finance. ACCA or CPA graduates may also apply
  • Has at least 5+ years of work experience and
  • Candidates who have started their career in external audit preferred
  • Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
