Job Overview:
The Junior Compliance and Accounting Executive will support the compliance and accounting functions within the company. This role involves assisting in financial record-keeping, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and compliance documentation.
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Help with the preparation and submission of tax filings and other statutory requirements.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in addressing audit findings.
- Support the compliance team in implementing and maintaining effective compliance programs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.
- Provide administrative support to the compliance and accounting departments as needed.
Field of Study:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Length of Working Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or compliance-related roles.
- Internships or part-time roles in accounting or compliance will be considered valuable experience.
Required Skill Sets:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software preferred and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements is a plus.
Preferred Employment History:
- Internship or prior experience in an accounting or compliance role within a corporate or financial environment.
- Experience in data entry, financial record-keeping, or administrative tasks related to finance or compliance.
- Exposure to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, or audit functions.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new regulations and compliance practices.
- Ethical mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
