Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the overall well-being and holistic development of B20 low-income children at designated TERM centers.
  • Build good relationships with TERM families to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Provide support for at-risk families, which includes:
  • Identify and prioritize TERM children and families based on monthly preschool attendance.
  • Participate in case conferences to collaboratively address challenges and develop tailored support plans.
  • Assist in conducting home visits to better understand the family and provide targeted assistance.
  • Assist families in navigating and applying for relevant subsidies, financial assistance, and support programs.
  • Link up families with relevant community resources.
  • Work closely with Principals, Teachers, and other Child Support Services (CSS) colleagues to align and integrate support efforts for TERM children and families.
  • Establish connections between the preschool center and community partners to enhance attendance support delivery when necessary.
  • Achieve TERM’s KPI for all supporting centres.
  • Timely submission of required reports and maintain accurate updates on the prescribed case management systems
  • Narrate case stories which highlight the positive impact of the Child Support Model (CSM) on the lives of TERM children and families.
  • Any other duties and projects assigned by the reporting officer.

Job Requirements

  • Recognized diploma/degree in sociology, social work, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a pre-school or social service sector for diploma holders will be required.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant degrees may apply.
  • Passionate about supporting low income children and families.
  • Good spoken and written English. Ability to speak alternative mother tongue languages will be preferred.
  • Displays initiative and can work independently while also being a team player.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
