Digital Business Analyst

The role of the Digital Business Analyst will require collaboration with Infineum business functions to understand specific organisational and operational challenges. Working with project managers and delivery teams, this role will be a partner to the business in driving the implementation of new digital solutions from the initial idea to the project completion.

The role involves ongoing work with Project delivery groups, technical units, and digital architects to execute and implement prioritized projects. Additionally, the Business Analyst serves as an integral part of the Digital Portfolio Team ensuring that projects are in sync with the overarching strategic Portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for converting business requirements into technology solutions, overseeing their documentation and deployment in partnership with project and program managers. Working alongside technical teams and digital architects, this role will explore solutions and options, quantify costs, and design detailed functional requirements to propose the best new solutions for our organisation.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

• Work on key assigned initiatives/projects from early stages to help define their Business Case.
• For assigned initiatives/projects, develop and maintain the Business Requirement Document, Functional Design Basis and, where appropriate, Business Process (Re)Design Documents
• Business Case and Requirements development:
• For each initiative, understand, analyse, and translate business needs into functional specifications. This can be through different techniques such as AS-IS/TO-BE process mapping, user-story and persona workshops.
• With the intention to refine and document the business case and requirement, some initiatives will require you to lead small pilots and the execution of proof of concepts/values for the initiatives proposed.
• Coaches the business stakeholders on data-driven decision-making and helps them to articulate the desired outcomes through meaningful and traceable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
• Help business functions in identifying the right use cases and support prioritization based on feasibility and value
• Conceptualising minimum viable product (MVP) for the initiatives prioritised
• Assist Digital Portfolio team to articulate the value case and benefits of digital initiatives.
• Solution Design:
• Assist technical team and digital architects to conceptualise solutions that address the functional requirements
• Ensure there’s clarity of the functional and non-functional requirements between teams (Business, project, technical) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Address needs in data integration, storage, visualization, quality, and analysis.
• Ensure data-driven insights are incorporated into the design and implementation of digital solutions
• Promote a data-centric culture within the organization to maximize the value derived from data assets
• Assist Portfolio Team by exploring Cost-Benefit Analysis for the solutions proposed.
  
  

• Execution readiness:
• Have documented business specifications/user-stories and functional specifications to allow good transition to execution.
• Assist Digital Portfolio Team and project/execution team to elaborate the project plan, resources, and key performance indicators (KPIs) or key value metrics
• Contributing to training and support for people/end users affected by new systems and processes
• Project Collaboration and execution:
• Provide ongoing support as needed throughout the execution phase
• Work closely with project and program teams to ensure successful deployment of solutions.
• Acts as the liaison between respective internal Digital Technology systems, technical analysts, vendors, and business users to deliver the requirements of the projects
• Support business in identifying test cases/scenarios and product/solution acceptance criteria. Assist delivery teams in validating test results with business when inconsistencies are observed.
• Iteratively ensures the work delivered by the project team meets needs and delivers the initial value expected to Infineum (end-to-end value).
• Ensure the service or product is adopted (by the employees), embedded in the workflow (process) and measured for impact aligned with business case
• Ensure that defined goals and values are the deliverable
• Any other responsibilities as assigned
  

A successful candidate is likely to have:

• 5+ years of experience around digital technology projects as Business Analyst, Business Partner, Tech/Digital focused Consultant
• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering or related areas are preferred
• Digital/IT business analysis or solutions consulting background with demonstrable experience in delivering digital solutions that bring value to customers
• Demonstrable experience with data products and/or data intense projects involving data manipulation and analytical skills
• Experience in the chemical/manufacturing industry is a plus
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy. Ability to drive multiple initiatives forward, navigate conflicting priorities, and work independently while consistently delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams to evaluate and address key issues. Experience with requirements gathering/use of case modelling, preparation of test plan/strategy, deployment of initiatives
• Skilled at gathering and analysing requirements from users, researching and resolving complex problems; negotiating project scope; and advocating best practices and processes
• Project Management experience with demonstration of delivery (Waterfall and Agile)
