Job Summary:

The Recruitment Business Development (BD) Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying and acquiring new clients in the recruitment and staffing industry. This role focuses on building relationships with companies and understanding their hiring needs to provide tailored recruitment solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, a deep understanding of recruitment processes, and a passion for achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:
  • Identify potential clients in target industries and develop new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, HR departments, and decision-makers.
  • Understand client recruitment needs and provide bespoke solutions tailored to each client.
  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the company’s client base and revenue.
  • Prepare and deliver sales pitches, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and other performance metrics.
  • Market Research & Strategy:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new industries, and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to develop insights into market demands and talent supply.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adapt business development strategies accordingly.
  • Recruitment Knowledge & Support:
  • Provide clients with advice and insights on best recruitment practices, including talent sourcing and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure client needs are met effectively.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all business development activities, client interactions, and sales pipelines.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management, including sales forecasts and revenue analysis.
Key Requirements:
  • Valid CEI (Certificate of Employment Intermediaries) license is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in recruitment or staffing.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • In-depth understanding of recruitment processes and staffing solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and market awareness.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development within recruitment or related industries.
