Singapore Exchange’s Equities Derivatives Unit is seeking to hire a Product Analyst to join our team. The role is highly visible, with involvement in all aspects of all exchange-listed equity products including product strategies and developments, product presentations, and sales positioning and closing.

We are seeking a motivated and analytical person with market knowledge of exchange-listed products and equity indices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends and provide actionable insights to enhance product and platform competitiveness. He/She should be able to function most of the time as a generalist, while retaining the flexibility to dive deep into the various aspects of exchange-listed products such as index methodology, derivatives product design, legal, regulatory, risk management, technological, and operational as required from time to time.

You will work with product managers and product strategists and report directly to the Head of Product Management, Equities- Derivatives. As a team member, you will also be part of a larger dynamic team whose objective is to successfully develop our competitive trading platform.

You need to be curious, positive and ready to deal with challenges, including learning about new pillars of development such as Sustainability and Digital Assets.

Key Accountabilities and Deliverables

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations for product and platform competitiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of products and recommend improvements
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to identify pain points and inform areas for product improvement.
  • Prepare detailed pitch presentations for clients as well as presentations to internal senior stakeholders, and participate in these meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with product managers to enhance product features and market policies to improve product tradability
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance the data analytical tools
  • Assist in the development of product roadmaps and strategies
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Finance, Business, Economics.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the financial industry, including experience in index management, research or product development with an index provider, asset manager or investment bank.
  • Reasonable knowledge of capital markets and derivatives products, as well as a deep understanding of financial services industry dynamics across major institutional segments.
  • Bonus points for quantitative modelling and coding skills.
  • Bonus points for working knowledge of index strategies and corporate actions, as well as industry trends such as ESG, multi-factor, smart beta indices and digital assets
