An engineering firm that specialises in advanced technology facilities, life sciences, and data centres and with a global presence worldwide is looking for an APAC HR Director to join their team.


Your new role

The Regional HR Director will report to the global CHRO, and will work closely with business units to develop and implement HR strategies, oversee HR projects, and ensure effective communication and processes. This role involves collaborating with global HR professionals to execute strategies, addressing HR challenges during organisational changes, and developing strategies to encourage employee initiatives and development.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following
  1. HR Strategy and Implementation:
    • Collaborate with HR professionals globally to develop HR strategies in collaboration with business units.
    • Guide the design and implementation of HR projects.
    • Oversee HR processes and communications.
  2. Organisational Change Management:
    • Identify and respond to HR challenges during organisational structure changes.
    • Develop practical strategies to meet people-related needs.
  3. Employee Development and Engagement:
    • Lead the delivery of people practices in the organisation, including talent assessment, planning, and performance management.
    • Develop strategies to encourage employee initiatives and goal achievement.
    • Improve Global Employee Survey ratings by strengthening employee engagement and leadership visibility.
  4. HR Policy and Program Development:
    • Create and implement regional policies and procedures.
    • Spearhead company-wide programs and initiatives, including employee engagement surveys, benefits enrolment, performance management, and total pay programs.
  5. Employer Branding:
    • Shape the organisation to become an Employer of Choice to attract, retain, develop, and motivate key talent.
  6. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Develop compensation and benefits frameworks.
    • Define and implement an APAC Total Rewards regional philosophy and strategy.
    • Coordinate and harmonise compensation programs across the region.
    • Review and streamline compensation and benefits programs.
    • Audit and review payroll processes.
    • Support Country HR Managers and Talent Acquisition with salary surveys and benchmarks.
    • Introduce job grading and levelling systems for consistent benchmarking.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within a multinational organization, preferably with an engineering / manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in SAP Success factor will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to travel
