Job Summary

The Head of Business Development will be instrumental in shaping and executing the strategic growth initiatives for our digital media business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Business Development will focus on expanding market presence, driving revenue growth, and establishing key strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, with a strong background in digital media and experience in leading growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:-

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve annual revenue target and expand market share. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, targeting an increase in strategic partnerships and collaborations each year.
  • Market Expansion: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover new market segments and growth opportunities. Drive initiatives to enter at least two new market regions or verticals annually.
  • Revenue Generation: Design and execute strategies to increase revenue streams, aiming for an improvement in average deal size and an increase in new client acquisition annually. Track and analyze sales performance, using data to refine strategies and achieve quarterly revenue targets.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, content creators, and digital platforms. Develop and close high-value partnership agreements, contributing to an increase in partnership revenue over the next year.
  • Operational Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with company objectives and operational capabilities. Oversee the integration of new partnerships and business initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition and operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development, such as conversion rates, partner performance, and revenue growth. Provide regular reports and analysis on business development progress and outcomes to the executive team.
  • Industry Insight and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital media innovations to drive strategic growth and maintain a competitive edge. Leverage industry insights to propose and implement innovative business models and revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results-oriented performance. Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities to team members.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all business development activities comply with relevant regulations, intellectual property rights, and data privacy laws. Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company's interests and mitigate potential business risks.
  • Paid Ads User Acquisition: Utilize knowledge of paid ads user acquisition to drive targeted lead generation and optimize customer acquisition strategies. Incorporate insights from paid ads performance into business development initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness and revenue growth.

Requirements:-

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in business development or strategic roles within the digital media industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth and establishing key partnerships, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
  • A strong track record of achieving revenue targets, expanding market presence, and developing high-value business opportunities.
  • In-depth understanding of the digital media landscape, including market trends, business models, and revenue streams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with experience in formulating and executing growth strategies based on market insights.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve business development goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  • Knowledge of digital media platforms, emerging technologies, and industry trends, with a commitment to staying informed about advancements.
  • Proven financial acumen with experience in managing budgets, analyzing financial metrics, and optimizing resource allocation.
