Join our team as a Customs Broker- Night Shift!

Play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth movement of cargo through UK ports. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is well-versed in Import & Export customs procedures and regulations. If you have a keen eye for accuracy and enjoy working with EDI systems, we want to hear from you.

Location: Flexible, UK

Hours: Monday to Friday 9pm -5.30am.

Salary: £34k-£36k per annum depending on experience + night shift allowance

What will you be doing?

  • Completing and inputting customs entries via EDI systems for cargo at UK ports.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation is submitted within designated time frames.
  • Notifying customers promptly upon entry completion, confirming costs, especially regarding Schenker DAN.
  • Identifying and addressing document problems causing customs clearance delays, including potential demurrage costs.
  • Handling Duty and VAT invoices, ensuring compliance with cost control measures.

  • Experience in customs clearance
  • Proficiency in basic home-use customs clearance procedures.
  • Excellent customer service aptitude.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, adept at prioritisation and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
