Job description

The In-House Accountant will manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the organization through detailed record-keeping, analysis, and reporting.

Main responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, approval, and payment.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journal entries.
  • Generate and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Tax and Compliance:

  • Prepare and file tax returns (yearly)
  • GST filing

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather financial information and support company initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of accounting experience, preferably in a similar in-house role.
  • Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate and read Chinese.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

  • Salary: S$3,500.00~S$4,000 per month
  • Others: After the probation period, depending on the qualification / experience of the candidate, professional training courses may be provide
