POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of the New Product Planning Team, the Associate/Regional Manager, New Product Planning will be responsible for:
- New products assessments and market/competitive analysis
- Forecast framing and modelling
- Market analytics supporting business development deals and partner presentations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
New product evaluation and business opportunity assessment:
- Assume project management role for new business assessments ensuring key checkpoints are met according to a predetermined timeline
- Work closely with regional cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, medical affairs, business development, market access, etc.) in driving detailed assessments of new business opportunities
- Build a rapid understanding of the disease area, market attractiveness, unmet medical needs, pricing, product potential/innovation and strategic fit for the purpose of recommending a ‘go’ or ‘no-go’ decision
- Develop forecast models to quantify market opportunity and data-driven sales projection
- Employ primary and secondary market research, including but not limited to KOL interviews, market data deep-dive, product analogs and clinical papers to make evidence-based assumptions for the sales forecasts.
- Work with country teams to review and validate business projections with local knowledge and expertise
- Provide support to relevant stakeholders in crafting analytical frameworks and processes, where applicable
- All other tasks as and when assigned by Senior Regional Manager, New Business
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Pharmacy/Life Science or in Business/Management
- At least 3 years of Strategic Planning, Marketing or Business Intelligence experience within pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Good understanding and knowledge of Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Markets is a plus
- Highly motivated individual, team player
- Demonstrated ability to execute multiple, interdependent projects from initiation to completion and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
