Job Overview

Responsible for the direction, management, control of operations, employees, tariffs and budgets in an export gateway and centralized operations team.

What Will You Enjoy Doing (duties/tasks)

  • Manage and direct overall LCL Export operation functions daily
  • Financial responsibility for centralized LCL operations and Gateway. Perform all administrative and financial functions associated with the Export Gateway and LCL operation activities
  • Direct and implement new service programs and maintain existing service programs
  • Identify and improve service-related issues in station, including on-time loading, accurate and timely data entry
  • Ensure LCL operations team is processing all house level functions within cut offs and meeting country requirements
  • Ensure the freight is received and dispatched in accordance with established routing policy, ensure proper and accurate recording of freight movement
  • Maintain the security of freight in accordance with security procedures
  • Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures
  • Select and place staff, ensure staff receive training for job activities, and define specific job assignments, manage performance to ensure required levels of productivity and organizational objectives are met
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations and promote excellent internal communication

What You Need To Succeed (Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Attributes)

  • The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • This is a management position.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Generally, prefer 2-4 years of related management experience, 6 years in operations.
