What You Will Be Working On

The Citizen Disbursement Systems Department is responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of systems facilitating governmental fund distribution to citizens via social transfer programs such as Assurance Package, Silver Support, GST Voucher, and Workfare Income Supplement. As an Application Team Intern, you will be part of an agile team working to deliver business objectives In this role, you will:

• Participate in the development, enhancement, testing and support of a web application.
• Improve and enhance the CI/CD Pipeline to achieve better deployment outcomes and higher DevSecOps maturity
• Utilise Generative AI in the work processes to improve productivity
• Work on automation of operation processes and monitoring using ChatOps.
• Collaborate with the team to address the long-term requirements of the application, optimising computing resource utilisation, and enhancing the consistency and efficiency of system functions.
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

We value the diverse skills and perspectives that each intern brings. While you may not need to meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team.

• Currently Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated keen interest in technology, particularly in gaining hands-on experience with cloud systems.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication, essential for clear articulation of ideas and collaboration within the team.
• Strong focus on accuracy and precision in maintaining records and executing tasks.
• Ability to work harmoniously within a team, valuing input from others and contributing positively to shared goals.
• Readiness to embrace and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, continually seeking opportunities for growth and development.
