Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Payments and Banking Partnership Manager to lead and develop strategic relationships with global payment and banking partners, including card payment schemes. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving collaboration, fostering key partnerships, and expanding the reach of our financial services through influential financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the payments and banking sectors, a strong track record in partnership management, and a passion for innovation in financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic alliances with global payment and banking institutions to enhance service offerings and create new business opportunities.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within partner organizations, including executives, product managers, and operational teams.

Corporate Account Setup:

  • Lead initiatives to expand global corporate account setup, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for corporate clients.

VIBANs Ecosystem Expansion:

  • Drive the growth of the VIBANs ecosystem, facilitating efficient international banking payments and transactions.

Foreign Exchange (FX) Expertise:

  • Utilize strong knowledge of FX markets and currency exchange dynamics to optimize financial transactions within global banking partnerships.

Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Stay current with compliance standards and regulatory requirements in the financial industry, ensuring adherence to mitigate risks and uphold ethical practices.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to align partner objectives with product roadmaps, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of solutions.

Negotiation and Contracting:

  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential payment and banking partners, ensuring favorable and compliant terms.

Market Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and potential risks.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Develop and implement KPIs to assess partnership success, providing regular updates to senior management.

Problem Resolution:

  • Address and resolve issues proactively during the partnership lifecycle, ensuring positive and collaborative relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 + years in partnership management, business development, or a related role within fintech or financial services.
  • At least 3 + years of experience working with an international bank, ideally managing fintech onboarding or operations, with a strong understanding of correspondent banking relationships and compliance.
  • In-depth understanding of global payment and banking operations, regulations, and market trends.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the banking sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, think critically, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding partnership development and revenue targets.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
