Overall Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the execution of the Combined Cycle discipline scope of work (Combined Cycle Power Generation and Steam System), focusing in development, implementation and continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance plans, strategies and practices in order to ensure and maximize assets reliability, availability, maintainability, safety and integrity (RAMSI), as well as contributing to the Operations procedures and results achievement, established for the business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the MOG’s corporate annual budget planning (expenses and investments) for the Combined Cycle discipline, by providing information based on previous experiences, technical knowledge, and best practices of the market.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of IMS by following up and filling in projects status and updating and monitoring the implementation of IMS Documents under the Combined Cycle discipline.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans and inspections, focusing on Operation’s needs, as well as monitoring the KPI’s and developing actions plans, within the Combined Cycle discipline scope to guarantee compliance with the sector regulation and MODEC guidelines.
  • Ensure the attendance to the maintenance policy, regarding to the Reliability Engineering, by applying the guidelines and lessons learned from the Technical management.
  • Contribute to the Operation Reliability and its performance (Combined Cycle Power Generation and Steam System), regarding to the Maintenance Plan and guidelines of the Combined Cycle discipline, by monitoring and analyzing results, performing proper root cause assessments, and providing technical review/recommendation.
  • Elaborate technical recommendations or actions plans to meet the Operations needs and feedbacks of the Technical management, Fleet maintenance support and Operations areas
  • Contribute to fleet performance improvement and safety by analyzing MOCs, TQs, NOIs, performing RCAs/FMEAs etc., and providing technical recommendations to support the Operation team.
  • Contribute to CMMS governance by updating and monitoring information regarding hierarchy, Job Description, maintenance plan.
  • Monitor process safety barriers' KPIs and provide technical recommendation, when needed or necessary, in order to ensure the integrity of its process and maintain the facility's operation within ALARP level.
  • Support MOG’s BID/EPCI process by providing technical review and O&M cost review through bidding team and pre-ops team.
  • Participate in risk analysis workshops and safety reviews to contribute with Combined Cycle expertise and support the Operations team.
  • Contribute to safeguarding from noncompliance to technical specifications and/or standards by performing and maintaining records of internal audits to meet all international regulations, MODEC policies, philosophies, and standards regarding the Combined Cycle discipline.
  • Sporadic embarkations on the vessels might be required for these activities.
  • Contribute to Combined Cycle Power Generation and Steam System availability and cost reduction by developing and continuously improving material policy (including spares).
  • Contribute to pre-ops team by providing technical support on vessel’s equipment criticality assessment and maintenance plans development.
  • Give assistance with regards to Combined Cycle Power Generation and Steam System maintenance issues and failures by supporting vendor teams and ad hoc maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification:

Complies with the Qualification matrix.

Relevant Experience:

  • Engineer I/II: Minimum 5 years of operational experience in combined cycle power plant. Previous experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas area is a competitive edge. Previous experience in Combined Cycle Power Generation and Steam System and Rotating Equipment Monitoring is a competitive edge.
  • Engineer III: Minimum 10 years of operational experience in combined cycle power plant. Previous experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas area is a competitive edge. Previous experience in Combined Cycle Power Generation and Steam System and Rotating Equipment Monitoring is expected.

Software:

Intermediate Microsoft Office package knowledge is required. Basic CMMS systems knowledge is a competitive edge (SAP preferred). Basic PI System knowledge is a competitive edge.
