About The Role
We are looking for an intellectually curious, highly motivated and passionate Graduate to join our South East Asia underwriting team in Singapore with the possibility to be immersed into a variety of lines of business such as property, general liability and financial lines.
You will play an important role in the underwriting of commercial and technical business as well as in the development, design of products and services to meet our client's needs.
You will support us in providing high quality underwriting inputs to both clients and the cross-functional teams. Through great teamwork and collaboration, you will gain a deep understanding of the various insurance and reinsurance markets across South East Asia. You will learn about our various products, how we assess and quantify risks, deploy appropriate financial capacity and interact with the intermediaries to structure transactions.
We will also give you the opportunity to participate and contribute to projects as well as to the development of innovative, market leading solutions that are relevant to the wider Swiss Re Group.
Specific responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
The SEA team is tasked with delivering Swiss Re Corporate Solutions insurance and risk transfer products to clients; setting strategy and ensuring effective communications between the members of teams to execute strategy. - Perform underwriting work across different lines of business covering the entire South East Asia region
- Support Senior Underwriters in assessing and quantifying risk exposures
- Collaborate with our structured solutions team to design new products and develop innovative solutions
- Perform analysis on emerging risks and technologies
- Meet and engage with clients and brokers, provide quotes and negotiate terms
- Project management and ad-hoc tasks in the area of market strategy and product development

You have:
- Successfully completed university degree from a reputable university
- Intellectually curious, highly motivated, passionate and you can work with a certain level of autonomy
- Comfortable with working with numbers including spreadsheets
- t will be an advantage to have insurance experiences gained through vacation work or internships.
