What The Role Is

The Smart Nation Group – Digital Government (SNDG), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and administratively managed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together.

You will be a member of the Technology & Capability Division in Smart Nation Group - Digital Government. You will have the unique opportunity to use technology to drive positive changes, influence system design, reduce business costs, and enhance policy outcomes. Your role will encompass supporting single or multiple systems within a specific domain, collaborating with technical teams, and contributing to risk management exercises. You might be leading a team depending on your job level.

Key Responsibilities

What you will be working on

• Business Plan Execution: Understand and execute business plans, plan and derive Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and assess the value of project stories.
• Support system design and delivery within specific sectors/domains: Support single or multiple systems within a domain. You will also partner with tech teams to operationalise technology plans as well as in areas including Application Management, Cloud Services, and Platforms.
• Manage project risks: Support risk management exercises for agencies’ projects.
  
  
  

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Strong understanding of system development, maintenance, and their optimal applications.
• Familiarity with essential characteristics, service models, and deployment of Cloud Services.
• Knowledge of key cloud services offered by major Cloud Providers, Cloud Application Architecture, and cloud migration approaches.
• Understanding of fundamental principles of a well-architected application infrastructure platform and application infrastructure integration methods.
• Ability to map available application infrastructure reference architecture against existing implementation.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology).
• Previous experience in a similar role or a strong technical background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
