Manager, Operations Technology

As Operations Technology Manager, you shall be responsible for leading projects that implement new technologies and drive innovation within a healthcare organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, IT, operations and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement through new technologies. This could include technologies like telehealth, digital twins, AI/analytics, robotics, wearables and more.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and innovations to improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency, ensure manpower sustainability.
  • Identify clinical needs and opportunities for digital transformation and performing needs assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and research to build business cases and project plans for investing in new healthcare technologies. Perform product evaluation of new technologies and conduct project feasibility study.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, risk plans, and resource requirements for healthcare IT implementation projects. Lead the procurement and tendering process.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the planning, design, testing, training, and rollout phases of implementing healthcare technologies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and outsourced development activities if external partners are involved.
  • Monitor project progress and milestones, managing issues and risks, and keeping key stakeholders updated.
  • Implement quality management protocols and ensuring projects meet clinical, IT, compliance and security standards.
  • Keep abreast of healthcare industry trends and innovations that could further the organization's clinical, operational and technology strategy, institution/cluster and national directive and strategies.
  • Serve as the secretariate for the technology and innovation workgroup and liaison to the group IT, informatics and medical informatics office.
  • Assist with administrative tasks when required which include the coordination of meetings, preparation of meeting material and recording accurate notes/minutes in complex meetings.
  • Manage, guide, participate and support the health innovation office in meeting the innovation and digital transformational goals of TGCH.
  • Any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in any discipline with at least 6 to 8 years working experience, preferably in a hospital setting or relevant domain.
  • Strong technical skills including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Tech-savvy with an ability to learn new software and other relevant programs.
  • Good command of spoken and written English language.
  • Possess strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skill.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team and across teams with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload, well organized and multi-task in an effective and timely fashion.
  • Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, quick thinker and an effective problem solver.
  • Responsible, proactive attitude and determination to ensure required outcomes are achieved.
  • Keen interest and passion in keeping abreast with the latest healthcare and knowledge management trends to develop fresh content and ideas.
