We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, reporting, and compliance across multiple entities. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate financial closings, reporting, and adherence to accounting standards.

Our client is a lifestyle company with a growing presence across the region spanning across F&B, real estate, hospitality and entertainment. In view of the continuous growth, we are looking an Accountant to join the developing team.

Description
  • Oversee month-end closing, financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and performance analysis
  • Review and analyze monthly management accounts prepared by outsourced accounting firms
  • Prepare financial and management reports, balance sheets, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
  • Review and consolidate monthly hotel management accounts
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring accurate reconciliation and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Collaborate with outsourced firms, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies on financial matters
  • Manage regulatory activities, including annual audits and adherence to industry regulations
  • Oversee cash management, maintaining bank balances and ensuring operational financial needs are met
  • Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements and filing deadlines
  • Prepare cash flow projections and support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Manage budgets and cash flow for specific projects
  • Prepare loan covenant calculations and reports for banks
  • Mentor and guide Accounts Executives, ensuring adherence to standard procedures
  • Assist in implementing new processes and accounting systems as needed
  • Support the setup of entities for asset and business acquisitions
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments as required

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4 years of audit or accounting experience
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
