Position Title: Finance Controller
Location: Singapore

This Position Reports To: CEO
Purpose Statement
To apply sound accounting principles and procedures in keeping with relevant legislation, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and provide effective financial analysis for management.
The Nature and Scope of this position
a. Administer the preparation and prompt dispatch of invoices and statements to ensure prompt collection, reconciliation and banking of monies.
b. Administer the payment of all creditors to ensure accuracy of payments, prudent cash flow management, uninterrupted supply of goods, and maintenance of sound supplier relationships.
c. Enter, maintain and update employees’ information and process payroll in an accurate and timely manner
d. Preparation of monthly financial reports in compliance with statutory requirements and management reports to assist decision-makers by providing accurate and timely information on the company’s performance.
e. Analyse financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
The Dimension of this Position
a. Monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts.
b. Calculate, prepare, and submit the required documentation to meet the company's statutory obligations.
c. Provide information to external accounting firms and assist with any queries required for the preparation of statutory financial statements.
d. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
e. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
f. Prepare monthly financial management reports, including financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements), revenue reports, headcount reports, and any other reports required by management to manage the business effectively and efficiently.
g. Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities by maintaining records of operating performance in comparison with estimated budget and monitoring actual results against budget commitments.
h. Prepare daily management control reports to ensure daily management of productivity and critical success factors.
i. Ongoing review and development of management reporting.
j. Review and costing of all staff KPIs to ensure commercial soundness.
k. Assist in the installation of budget control systems.
l. Ensure confidentiality and privacy are respected and maintained at all times with respect to AsiaVerify, clients, staff, products and services.
m. Adhere to the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of AsiaVerify.
n. Participate in regular team and support meetings and training workshops, as required.
o. Participate in professional development activities to meet identified developmental goals and achieve professional and personal growth.
p. Undertake analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information for use in management decision-making.
q. Assist the CEO and the management team in the preparation of long-term planning processes, including the development of the corporate, capital and asset management plans.
r. Review and analyse operating results in relation to cost, budgets and operating processes.
s. Ensure any variations to budgets and forecasts are explained in management reports, including any future / potential exposures to the organisation.
t. Other duties as assigned by the CEO.
The special skills, knowledge and work experiences needed to achieve the objectives of this position
a. Accounting degree or equivalent
b. Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
c. Knowledge of experience of related computer applications (Xero, talenox, etc) preferred.
d. A minimum of 5 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting and financial data analysis
e. Absolute discretion and confidentiality
f. A willingness to take responsibility and accountability and the spirit to serve
