Job Description
- IT infrastructure support; inclusive of hardware, network, server maintenance support as well as day-to-day IT operations and administration support
- Facilitate network / server system upgrades and other testing that needs to be completed after normal business hours if needed.
- Installation of network equipment, servers, monitor network bandwidth and utilization, or perform data cabling management are to be expected
- Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
- Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
- Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary.
- Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
- Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system.
- Providing technical support when requested.
- Perform problem/issue identification and resolution; work across multiple teams and vendors to identify the root cause and find suitable workarounds or solutions
- Develop good configuration best practices and guidelines which employees need to follow to successfully work within our computing system.
- Ensure current configurations are documented clearly and accurately in Knowledge Base.
- Assist with the implementation of agreed infrastructure changes, maintenance routines and component updates and upgrades
- Nitec/Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in IT-Infrastructure field Qualification:
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 7 / 8.1 /10 OS, Microsoft Office Products
- Basic Cisco WAN/LAN Network knowledge and Server skills
- Ability to solve problem in stressful situations
- Attention to detail and ability to work as a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for helping others
- Ability to creatively and decisively solve problems
- Ability to manage workload and multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Willingness to learn new IT technologies
