Role Description

This position reports to the Senior Management and interfaces with internal departments and external (auditors, financial institutions) stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities

Individual to be involved in:

  • Lead Business Control team, responsible for generating daily trading PnL for multiple trades (physical, paper & long term contract).
  • Analyze PnL and identify movement factors; reconcile PnL with Accounting and Trader teams.
  • Communicate with management or traders regarding urgent risk topics. Support and lead crisis and issue management efforts in coordination with other teams and management.
  • Managing Market Risk with counterparties including MTM calculation.
  • Analyze new deals, review contracts, and collaborate with traders on business planning and budgeting.
  • Conduct KYC for onboarding new counterparties; manage individual client credit ratings and monitor credit exposure.
  • Daily check broker reports and derivatives positions.
  • Update market information and pricing as needed.
  • Lead market risk analysis (VAR) and monitor portfolio based on respective stop loss limits, ensuring stop loss limits are implemented once breached.
  • Build a strong Control team and establish control policy of all offices. It includes training, coaching and regular follow up with team members.

Competencies

  • 7 years of working experiences in Commodity trading firms, with non-ferrous metals experiences having an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • CPA, any major in Finance or business degree preferred.
  • Eye for details and a good understanding of Commodity trading company.
  • Good understanding of contractual laws, title transfer of cargo, payment terms and shipping terms.
  • Decent understanding on Commercial laws and crisis management.
  • Highly motivated and ready to take challenging position.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Team player who can develop harmonious relations in the Company
  • Compliance with Company and management’s directions and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin will be advantageous (dealing with China’s counterparts).
