  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

If you share our interests in solving challenging scientific problems using computational science, mathematical methods and/or engineering techniques, we welcome you to apply for the following position.

SYSTEMS SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Research Scientist (Urban Systems & Transportation modelling)

We are looking for researchers who are highly motivated with a passion for developing solutions relating to modelling and simulation of transportation and complex urban systems. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop next generation transport and urban R&D solutions, leveraging on advanced AI and digital twin technologies. The role is expected to work both internally and externally with collaborators/stakeholders from industry and government agencies.

Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Science/Engineering/Computing/Information Systems/Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Relevant experience/expertise in at least one of the following areas: Transport system modelling, Agent-based simulation, Geo-spatial analysis, Digital twin
  • Strong interests in statistical modelling, optimization, AI
  • Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python or C++
  • Self-driven and motivated team player
  • Curiosity and passion to learn new things
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
