Job Summary

As an ICT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be integral to the Platforms team, responsible for handling the technical aspects of various applications and platforms. This role requires close collaboration with ICT system managers, service integrators, and vendors to bridge gaps in ICT projects and ensure successful project execution. You will develop automation scripts, manage infrastructure projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Your ability to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure will be crucial in supporting new applications and optimizing system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the technical aspects of various applications and platforms for the Platforms team.
  • Collaborate with ICT system managers and various service integrators/vendors to support ICT projects and bridge technical gaps.
  • Lead and manage technical front-facing roles for various applications and platforms.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and tooling using IT automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive infrastructure design.
  • Work with service providers to design, develop, deploy, and configure infrastructure to meet resiliency, availability, and data integrity needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Authority’s Technical Architecture, SG Technology Risk Management, and other relevant IT policies.
  • Manage infrastructure projects and services to support application systems environments.
  • Oversee infrastructure architecture, resource planning, and performance management from server hardware to the OS layer.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all new application system initiatives and support application architecture design, integration, acceptance, and performance testing.
  • Handover infrastructure and systems standard operating procedures to the Operations Engineer upon commissioning.
  • Assist Operations Engineers on infrastructure and systems-related support.
  • Review and endorse infrastructure architecture, support, and hardening standards for OS and databases.
  • Support the onboarding of infrastructure for hosting environments, including design, setup, configuration, implementation, testing, and commissioning.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux RHEL, AIX OS, OS virtualization technologies, SAN storage, and databases.
  • Ability to analyze and develop comprehensive solutions while considering all functional implications.
  • Strong team player with the capability to work independently and be resourceful.
  • Willingness to engage in active learning and on-job training to expand knowledge.
  • Knowledge or experience with the following is an advantage:
    • Red Hat products (e.g., Red Hat Identity Management, Satellite/Capsule).
    • API management (e.g., Axway API management).
    • Log management systems (e.g., Syslog-ng, Splunk).
    • Container platforms (e.g., RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu).
    • Orchestration platforms (e.g., CA Workload Automation Autosys, CloudBees).
    • Workflow infrastructure (e.g., K2 BlackPearl).
    • Cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
    • Automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
    • Programming languages, primarily Java.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing cloud environments and deploying automation solutions.
  • Proven track record in infrastructure design, development, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and best practices in IT infrastructure.
