Engineer will need to fulfil the following roles:
• Handle the technical aspect of various applications and platforms for the Platforms team
• Work closely with ICT system managers and various service integrators/vendors to bridge the gap in ICT projects.
• Will be tasked to front various application/platforms for the Platforms team.
• Developing automation scripts and tooling using an IT automation tool.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement projects within their emplaced practice to ensure service delivery and support to meet the intended availability, continuity and capacity requirements.
• Translate business requirement into infrastructure design.
• Work with service providers to design, develop, deploy and configure infrastructure to meet resiliency, availability and data integrity needs.
• Ensure compliance to company’s Technical Architecture and SG – Technology Risk Management as well as Government Instruction Manual on Infocomm Technology & Smart Systems Management (IM8) and company's IT Policies.
• Manage Infrastructure projects and services to support application systems environments.
• Developing automation scripts and tooling using Ansible automation.
• Request to provision new VMs for new systems.
• Manage system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance and system hosting environment from server hardware till OS layer (Excluding hypervisor and Storage) in support of new applications.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in similar field.
• Hands-on experience in relevant fields such as Windows, Linux RHEL and AIX OS, OS virtualization technologies, SAN storage and/or databases.
• Ability to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges.
• Ability to analyse and identify comprehensive solutions considering all functional implications while developing a workable solution.
Engineer with the following knowledge or experience will be helpful:
• Red Hat products like Red Hat Identity Management (IdM), Satellite/Capsule.
• Axway API management – for API
• Log management system (eg. Syslog-ng log management, Splunk)
• Container platforms (eg. RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)
• Orchestration platform (eg. CA Workload Automation Autosys, CloudBees)
• K2 BlackPearl workflow Infrastructure
• Worked in Cloud environment (eg. AWS, Azure, etc)
• Various Automation Tools (eg. Ansible)
• Experience in some form of programming languages, mainly Javas applications and platforms for the Platforms team.
