- Monitor audit timelines, internal audits, and audit gap closures.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance meeting rhythms.
- Prepare updates and internal metrics for monthly management reporting.
- Monitor key Compliance KPIs, including financial crime, compliance headcount attrition, audit findings, regulatory actions, and high-risk customers.
- Work with local compliance teams to assess the potential impact of regulations on operations and mitigate their impact on the business.
- Collate best practice sharing in the event of compliance incidents.
- Assist in analyzing and preparing input on draft regulations.
- Manage a dashboard of regulator relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with key regulatory authorities in the region.
- Support internal and external meeting scheduling for stakeholders and regulators.
- Assist with drafting group policies (if required).
- Assist the Head of Compliance and Regulatory Management to liaise with local teams and Finance to develop and assess potential candidate profiles for director/commissioner positions for internal approvals.
- Assist in drafting presentations and memos for internal or external meetings as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CRCM, CCEP, CAMS) preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in regional programmatic and operational Compliance, with experience in regulator engagement and a focus on regional or international compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
- Prior experience in compliance risk management and compliance project management is advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including persuasion, with the ability to communicate and relate at all levels of the company.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in a regional language where our business operates (e.g., Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog) is an advantage, to facilitate effective communication with local regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
