About the Company
The National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) was set up to strengthen Singapore’s capabilities in infectious disease management and prevention and is a national leader and a regional and global player in infectious diseases. Our mission is to protect the people of Singapore from infectious diseases.
NCID houses clinical services, the National Public Health and Epidemiology Unit, the National Public Health Laboratory, the Infectious Disease Research and Training Office, the Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office, and oversees national programmes of two major diseases of public health importance – HIV and Tuberculosis.
Benchmarked to international standards and best practices for treatment and safety, we are a unique organisation poised to streamline infectious disease management and will better enhance Singapore’s ability to respond effectively to infectious outbreaks.
