About MMC Gamuda
MMC Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd (MMC Gamuda) is a Joint Venture (JV) between two of Malaysia's largest engineering construction, Public Listed Companies (PLCs), MMC Corporation Berhad and Gamuda Berhad. With an established reputation for delivering large-scale projects on time with innovative engineering solutions, MMC Gamuda has cemented its position as a global infrastructure leader in advanced construction solutions and the leading project integrator in the country.
The first project undertaken and completed by MMC Gamuda was the construction of the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART) which made history as the world’s first dual-purpose tunnel and opened for operations 2007. Building on this achievement with the successful completion of the Electrified Double Track Project (EDTP) in 2014, MMC Gamuda was then entrusted with the responsibility of serving as the project integrator for the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Project which was envisaged to radically transform and improve Kuala Lumpur’s public transportation infrastructure through the creation of a sustainable, modern rail-based network system. The first MRT line in the project, the MRT Kajang Line was completed by MMC Gamuda ahead of schedule and within budget and has been fully operational since July 2017. The MRT Putrajaya Line meanwhile was completed and became fully operational in March 2023
